Choose the right AI task for your application

AI assistance is most useful when you already have a factual draft and a specific role in mind. A student can start with coursework and projects; an experienced applicant can start with responsibilities and outcomes. You do not need to invent achievements to make either draft useful.

Prepare your source material

For resume analysis, paste your current resume and, where available, the target role and job description. The service asks Moonshot AI to review that material and return strengths, improvements and suggested keywords. Its score is an estimate, not a reading from an employer’s ATS. Remove identity numbers, private references and unnecessary contact details before sending text.

For a cover letter, use the same factual resume with the actual vacancy description. Choose a tone appropriate to the organization. The output is a draft to check: confirm the company name, job title and every accomplishment before submitting. If the source does not support a claim, remove it or supply the missing facts.

Practice and profile updates need different checks

Interview preparation produces practice questions and answer approaches. Rehearse in your own words and replace generic examples with events you can discuss in detail. The questions are not a prediction of what a particular interviewer will ask.

The LinkedIn optimizer reviews pasted profile text. It does not log in to LinkedIn or publish changes for you. Compare each proposed headline, About paragraph and experience bullet with your actual work, then decide what to edit yourself. Its assessment is not LinkedIn’s profile-strength or search-ranking measurement.

Example: replace a vague duty with evidence

If your draft says “responsible for customer reports,” first identify the audience, tools and decision the report supported. If true, “Prepared weekly Excel reports so account managers could follow up overdue orders” communicates more than the original. Add a time-saving or revenue figure only if you can support it. An AI suggestion is a starting point for this fact check, not evidence itself.

Do I need AI for every revision?

No. Use the free browser-based checks for basic text structure and length before requesting AI feedback. AI requests require an account and the access and credits shown in the tool. Review the Privacy Policy before submitting career information.
